How should you spend your time?

The poet Carl Sandburg once said, "Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent."

During your pre-retirement life, much of your time is consumed by work and other everyday tasks and responsibilities. In retirement, your time is considerably freed up, giving you the opportunity to decide for yourself how you wish to spend it. Travel, hobbies, family activities, reading, gardening, fishing and, of course, golfing are common popular retirement activities. However, how you spend your time is a highly personal decision and will dictate how you plan and save for your retirement years.
